We did it, together.
I'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the people who shared their ideas and information with us - Suzanne Wapner and Colleen Kearns of the Environment and Sustainability office; Raylene Ludgate of the Cornell Botanic Gardens; the members of Eta Epsilon; Climate Justice Cornell; Cornell Food Recovery Network; and certainly not least, Drew Harvell.
Work on Do It Yourself, Do It Together began at the start of 2020, with plans for a physical installation at Mann Library as well as this digital version. In the middle of our process the COVID-19 crisis moved us out of our offices and into our homes, completely changing the nature of what we were able to do. I am happy to say that despite the changes in routines, access to items, and distances separating us - Sabrina did most of her work hundreds of miles away from Cornell - as a group we were able to make it function. I'm grateful to have had such a creative and flexible team for this project.
